Mrs. Shanta Sharma is the Founder of SS Development Consulting. With extensive experience working with non-governmental organizations, development institutions, and international stakeholders in Nepal and abroad, she has been actively engaged in a wide range of national and international development initiatives. Over the years, her work has included assistance to The Learning Tree, Alabama, USA; disaster response following the 2015 Nepal Earthquake; COVID-19 relief efforts for Nepali communities in India and Saudi Arabia; election observation missions in Nepal, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Denmark, Kenya, Maldives, Thailand, and Sierra Leone; establishment of a school library in Nepal; and donation of educational resources and sporting equipment to schools and sports clubs in Nepal and Zimbabwe.

Through years of engagement with institutions, organizations, donors, and development practitioners across diverse contexts, Mrs. Sharma gained firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges that shape the development sector. While many institutions and organizations successfully access international grants and partnerships each year, she observed that numerous others with equally meaningful missions, innovative ideas, and strong community connections remain unable to secure such opportunities. In many cases, this is not due to a lack of impact or commitment, but because of gaps in grant readiness, project design, proposal development, donor alignment, institutional systems, compliance requirements, and funding navigation.

Recognizing this gap between local potential and global funding opportunities, Mrs. Sharma established this SS Development Consulting with a vision to strengthen the capacity of institutions and organizations to compete effectively in the international funding landscape. The firm was founded to provide professional advisory and consulting services in grant readiness, project development, grant proposal writing, donor engagement, and grant cycle optimization, helping organizations align with evolving donor expectations and international standards.

While SS Development Consulting operates as an independent professional consulting firm, its purpose extends beyond conventional advisory services. It was established with a broader commitment to supporting sustainable development by enabling institutions and organizations to unlock access to international funding opportunities, strengthen institutional capacity, scale impactful initiatives, and contribute more effectively to social, economic, and community development.
